Lessons Learned

1. Facebook is not the place to be right now. I don't need to see what some of my "friends" are saying about the election. (Oh dear - Did Keith Olbermann hurt someone's fee-fees? Was he shrill and rude? My heavens!)

2. From driftglass:
When you have spent two generations and billions of dollars building a Base of reprogrammable bigots, imbeciles and Christopaths, the full, focused power of pure, relentless, omnidirectional, bald-faced lying is truly breathtaking.

3. USA Today is dumb . . . but we already knew that. This morning The Nation's Doormat has a photo of Boehner giving the thumbs-up with the caption: Republicans ready to rule. Rule? Did he get elected king? I know, rules of order and all, but still. And what's with this headline: GOP picks up Senate seats, but not enough. Not enough?? Ladies and gentlemen, your librul media.

4. What Peter Daou said: Dear President Obama and Democratic leaders: for the next two years, listen to the bloggers

5. This, a thousand times. Revisited by driftglass on Friday and excerpted by athenae today. I do like athenae's message of "keep going". It's true.
